Cordless Jigsaw power tools

What is the best jigsaw between a 110v jigsaw, 240v jigsaw and cordless jigsaw?

The difference between the three forms of jigsaws is the operating voltage and the ease of setting up before use. The 240 volt jigsaw plug straight into the standard mains sockets of any household or workplace. The only factor to bear in mind for this type on jigsaw is wear you are planning on using it. To use it you will always need to be in the vasinity of mains power. Also building sites only accept 110v working voltages as a safe working practice. This will be determined on the permits of work before work comenses.

The 110v jigsaw operates at 110v. This is a much more safer working voltage for power tools. The jigsaw is powered via a 110v transformer. The transformer plugs into the standard 240v mains socket which then steps down the voltage from 240v to 110v. The 110v jigsaw then plugs into the transformer and works the same way as a 240v jigsaw. Then 110v version also has a safety trip switch via the 110v transformer. If the jigsaw develops a fault while in use the trip will cut the supply power to the equipment . The 110v jigsaw will also require you to be in the vasinity of mains power for the 240v /110v transformer to plug into.

This leaves the cordless jigsaw. The cordless jigsaw can be used anywhere as it doesn't require mains voltage. This jigsaw runs of a battery that is charged up before use. The cordless jigsaw is ideal for little quick jobs because no setting up is required. The only downside to the battery jigsaw is its length of use. The battery only has a short life span before it will require recharging. You can however buy extra batteries for you jigsaw to swap over when each one goes flat. As the power drains away the speed of the saw blade decreases and cutting becomes harder.

So to round off the cordless jigsaw is best for quick easy jobs.

The 240v jigsaw is the best for longer jobs around the house or in your workshop.

The 110v jigsaw is best for industry use, this jigsaw is best used on building sites
